god showed me pain so i could make art.

i started saying that a long time ago. not sure how it came to me, but i believe some of the best art in this world (visual and otherwise) is born in pain.

the sad songs sing to us that we aren’t alone in our own sadness, the angry poem wakes us up out of complacent comas, and the art that gives our pain color and shape is the truest art.

not all of my work is quite that depressing, though. in fact, i’m pretty proud of how my body of work reflects my often wild and hyperactive personality. basically if you know me and you know my work, it all just kinda makes sense.

i am also working to create digital versions of all my past works, so you can have your very own weird art merch without worrying about matting and framing an original painting.
